Out of the Pool: Michael by MaleVisionS Photography

'This strangely still pause between summer and autumn , greenery and gold, and the heat and rising wind that is once again reading itself to rush it all away in a climatic symphony of color and and scent is-in my opinion, one of the best parts about living on earth'
The Lull Between Summer & Autumn

I love and live by the quote above by author Victoria Erickson. It is one of the reasons October is my favorite month, and one of the reasons the seasonal changes, the weather, the temperature, the look of the world, are so much a part of FH. Living in a part of the world with four distinct seasons, I love finding photo's and artists who set their modes in a location, but also in a location at a specific point in the calendar year.

Last September, as part of my seasonal celebrations, I ended the 'Last Gasp of Summer', series with the incredibly hot image at the top of this post from MaleVisionS Photography. Michael looks incredible rising from the pool and the shot of Michael, led two readers to write me about featuring more. Although Arizona photographer Dan Nelson may not have to worry about the chill of Autumn's air, for many of us, the beginning of October marks the end of the backyard pool.

Many have already covered and closed their pools, but some, wait til the very last moments, usually when the word 'frost' starts coming up in weather and news reports. October is also always busy on FH, especially with the lead up to Halloween. This year, October also marks the 10th anniversary of FH, and doing a few posts over October and November to celebrate the last decade of artists and models I have featured on the site.
